A site about other people's data processing had better be straight about its own.
This page explains what Maths Schools Tech Dossier does with your data. The short version: the site itself collects nothing about you, and the only thing that sets cookies is the advertising.

What this site collects
Nothing, directly. Maths Schools Tech Dossier is a set of static pages. There is no account system, no newsletter sign-up, no comment section, no analytics script and no first-party tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, we do not sell data about you, and we have no database of visitors to lose. It would be a poor look for a site that audits other people's tracking to run any of its own, so it doesn't.
Hosting and server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare. As our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare processes connection-level data — including your IP address — in order to deliver pages to you and to protect the site from abuse. That processing is Cloudflare's, under its own policies; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive, store or analyse per-visitor logs from it.
Advertising
Maths Schools Tech Dossier carries display advertising served by Google AdSense. This is how the site pays for itself, and it is the only commercial relationship on it — no school, trust, university or other organisation pays to appear here, to appear favourably, or to be left out. Ads are selected automatically by Google. They are not endorsements, they are not vetted by us, and their presence next to a school's entry means nothing about that school.
Advertising works by setting cookies, and here is what that means in practice:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in the UK and Europe, Your Online Choices.

Your consent choices
If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will be shown a consent message before personalised ads are served, using a Google-certified consent management platform. You can decline personalised advertising and still read every page on this site — nothing here is paywalled or gated behind consent. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it at any time by clearing this site's cookies or by using the consent link presented in the message.
Links to other sites
We link out heavily — to schools' own websites, to Ofsted, to gov.uk, to Companies House and to news coverage — because citing sources is the point of this site. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, not ours.
If you contact us
If you contact page or email hello@mathsschools.co.uk, we will use your email address to reply to you and for nothing else. It does not go on a mailing list and it is not shared with anyone.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights over personal data held about you — access, correction, erasure, and objection to processing. Because this site holds no personal data about visitors, there is usually nothing for us to give you or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
This site is written for prospective students and their families, and some of its readers will be under 18. It is an ordinary informational website: it asks for no personal information, has nothing to sign up to, and requests no age or identity data from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If what we do changes — new advertising arrangements, analytics, anything at all — we will change this page to say so and update the date at the top. We would rather state a change plainly than let this page quietly drift out of date.
